Years 7 - 9 Lunchtime Activity and Years 10 -12 Lunchtime Activity

on Monday, 23 May 2016.

Tuesday 24th May, Student Management are holding a viewing of SpongeBob Squarepants for students in year 7 - 9. Bring along your latest College Report and if you've made an improvement on your past report, you will receive free popcorn and a drink to enjoy with the show.

A session for years 10 -12 viewing Simpsons will be held Thursday 26th May. Again bring along your College Report to receive your free popcorn and drink.

Australian Airforce Cadets

At lunchtime today Chantelle Lauron from the Air Force Cadets presented to 20 Wallan SC students. Chantell outlined the wide array of activities cadets are involved in and the exciting opportunities for students wanting to fly.

Closure of the $1000 Medicare Child Dental Benefits

on Thursday, 12 May 2016.

The Government has announced its intention to close the Medicare Child Dental Benefits Schedule from 1 July 2016.

Eligible children will need to receive dental treatment before 1 July 2016 if they wish to access benefits under the Child Dental Benefits Schedule.

Families can contact Wallan Dental Ph 5783 33344 to take up this opportunity before the scheme finishes.

Wallan Dental has after school times, late nights and Saturday morning appointments available.

Casual Clothes Day 24.05.2016

Tuesday 24th May 2016, is a casual clothes day at WSC. The cost for the day is a $2 coin donation.

Whilst it is a casual clothes day, the School still expects students to observe principles concerning the dignity of each person and the respect for others. Students need to be mindful of the styles of clothing and appearance that are deemed to be inappropriate at Wallan Secondary College

Junior and Senior Football Teams

on Monday, 23 May 2016.

The Girls junior and senior football teams competed in the Mickleham division girls competitions on the 17th of May. Both teams played with excellent sportsmanship and effort on the day. The junior girls battled hard but unfortunately weren't able to get through to the next round. The senior girls did a tremendous job in winning the competition and are now through to the next round. Well done to the girls representing Wallan Secondary College.

RMIT Experience Days

Wallan HITS the airwaves

For the third year Wallan SC and VET students from ACK and Broadford SC are hitting the airwaves with valued partner OKR FM Community radio. Students are given the opportunity to learn how to use sound equipment and be a DJ. Students learn new skills, get to experience new industry and build confidence an important part of becoming employable and prepared for the future.
