Camp postponed to end of term 1

Due to the current situation in our area, it has been decided to move the Year 7 Camp to the end of Term 1.  It will now be held on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 2, 3 and 4 April.

So as not to disadvantage our Year 7s, the Athletic Carnival date will move to earlier in the same week and Parent Teacher Interviews for Year 7 students will be re-scheduled.

Please check back to our website regularly for further updates.

Attending and Affording WSC Camps

Camps are seen as an integral part of the school curriculum as they enable students to explore, extend and enrich their learning and their social skills development, in a non-school setting. Camps may have a cultural, environmental or outdoor emphasis and are an important aspect of the educational programs offered at Wallan Secondary College. A camp is defined as any activity that involves at least one night’s accommodation.

Camps Program Update

on Saturday, 13 April 2013. Posted in Camps & Activities

As previously communicated in our regular newsletters, the 2013 camps program for our year 9 and 10 students has been placed in question due a minimal level of interest. However, all is not at a loss. There are still a sufficient number of camp deposits to offer one last possibility to ensure a camp can be offered to our year 9 and 10 students. Given the concentration of deposits from both year 9 and 10 students and the interests of students expressed during a camps meeting, the college will offer a combined year 9 and 10 Snow-sports camp as the sole camp for years 9 and 10.
