Our Learning Values

Homework Club Returns

on Friday, 12 July 2013. Posted in Frontpage Showcase, Welfare, Our Learning Values, Learning

Our 'Homework Club' is a popular Monday afternoon destination for our students and is becoming more popular as the year progresses.

As the number of participants continue to grow, we are pleased to see that students are using the Homework Club to seek assistance, study with peers or complete research.

As a voluntary program that provides quiet working space with access to pre-organised subject specific teachers, the Homework Club has become very popular with our senior students. Our students have been maximising their learning opportunities by seeking the support of the teachers who volunteer their time. In comparison to previous years, we are also seeing an increase in the number of Year 7 - 10 students attending.

As the programs coordinator I like to stress the importance of the Homework Club in allowing students to have access to resources not available at home while instiling good study habits.

For those students wishing to attend, the Homework Club operates every Monday from 3.30pm until 4.30pm in the Library Resource Centre. Students should organised with specific Teachers to request their attendence for support or personal tutoring.

Homework Club registration forms are available at Student Services.
