Our Wellbeing Officer says Goodbye

Farewell to Mr Hempfing

Dear Wallan Secondary College Community

I wanted to take an opportunity to say “Thank-You”. I have enjoyed sharing in our journey during the last five and a half years. It has been very rewarding to see many positive student wellbeing outcomes and student academic achievements, sporting, creative, career, tertiary entry and social successes.

I do believe our school values (Safety, Responsibility, Respect, Learning, Community, Success) are very important for us all during our time at school and also out of school. As ‘Learning’ is one of my values, after working in schools for 14 years I am now exploring work options outside of welfare and schools to learn something different and new.

Please take advantaged of  the many opportunities that the College provides for all, as your future begins now! Barb, our Chaplain, is friendly and knowledgeable and is keen to support the whole school community.

Students please remember to talk with your families, friends, school staff or mental health professionals, should you have any questions or concerns. A reminder that Kids Helpline is available for young people up to 25 years on 1800 55 1800, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Their website is www.kidshelp.com.au .

I wish you all the very best at Wallan Secondary College and into your future.

Adrian
