Homework Club

Tuesday, 24 February 2015

The Homework Club has over 60 students across all year levels attending on a regular basis. Students are completing homework which includes research projects, Maths Online, Writer's Notebook entries and chapter questions. One of the advantages of the Homework Club is being able to capitalise on the experience of dedicated, enthusiastic and knowledgeable teachers. To those teachers who commit to the Homework Club on a regular basis, thank you.

Here is what one year 7 student had to say about the Homework Club:

I go to homework club because there are some subjects that parents can't help me with. When I go to homework club most of my teachers are there to help with homework. I needed to finish a test and my English teacher was there to help me. Even if your teacher is not there to help another may be able to help you with that work. I know that one week my English teacher wasn't there when I needed help but Mrs Gurney was able to help.

After receiving a donation from Rotary, we are now plan to provide fresh fruit to students who attend the Homework Club. This was an initiative which began last year and we are extremely pleased that it can continue this year.
