Students visit La Trobe

Monday, 20 April 2015

On the 9th of April myself and four other Wallan students were given the opportunity to join 'Experience La Trobe', where at the Bundoora campus we got to see what university life is like.

We got to select three different courses, in which we were told what the course would entail and what we would be doing as a student of La Trobe university. Already knowing what I want to do as a career path, I chose the 'Social Work' course.

The course was hosted by a lady who had been working in the field of Social work for a very long time, and had even at one stage opened her own practice. She now teaches at the university.

Being able to see La Trobe really helped with my decision on where to study and I would encourage all students looking to attend a university to take opportunities such as this to decide where they want to go. The next 'Experience La Trobe' dates can be found on their website.
