Head Start Apprenticeships

Congratulations to Ben Tuite (Yr 10) who has commenced a Cert III Head Start Plumbing apprenticeship, Tyler Balmer (Yr 12) a Cert III Electro-Technology Electrician Head Start apprenticeship and Domenik Desouza (Yr 12) has just started a Cert III Head Start Bricklaying apprenticeship.

Languages Week at WSC is off with a Bang!

Today was Indonesian Immersion in D6 with Pak Allen! Students came along to learn how to dance, ate some Nasi Goreng, did basket weaving and participated in a few Indonesian games! Thanks for Pak Allen for organising today.

Year 10 Hospitality Class

Today, it was coffees all round as our Year 10 Hospitality Class participated in a Coffee School. We were fortunate to be able to run the course at the College through a mobile educator. The students were very keen to learn and the staff are looking forward to sampling some amazing coffees.

Planning on Studying Medicine, Dentistry or Clinical Science?

Students who are planning to apply to Medicine, Dentistry and Clinical Science degree programmes commencing in 2022 at these Universities https://www.ucat.edu.au/ucat-anz/universities/ in Australia and New Zealand must sit the UCAT ANZ 2021 (between 1 July and 11 August 2021).

Mitchell Youth Council Pop Up Clothes Swap

Mitchell Youth Council will host a POP UP Clothes Swap at WSC at lunchtime, Friday 30th April, where WSC staff and students can bring their clean and undamaged items of clothing they no longer want, need or wear and swap them for a token.

WSC ANZAC Ceremony

Today the College held our own ANZAC Ceremony. Our Year 12 students braved the chill to attend the service, whilst our other year levels watched the service streamed live to their classrooms.   The ceremony was simple but reverent with our Principal Class and College Captains delivering the service.

Our College Captains did both themselves and our College proud on Sunday as the WSC Ambassadors at the ANZAC Day Service held at the Wallan War Memorial.It was also wonderful to see students of WSC marching and singing with other members of their community choir.
