Yesterday our Teaching Staff participated in an art class as part of our staff wellbeing program. It seems we have quite a few very talented artists in our midst.
The Year 10 Legal Studies class, explored both the Supreme and County Courts on Friday. Students were able to watch an appeal to the Supreme Court and were lucky enough to speak with Justice John Champion and his associates,
The Long Walk is a charity inspired by Michael Long's walk to Canberra and raises awareness to improve and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, and life opportunities.
On Monday 21st August and Tuesday 22nd of August, Year 9 and 10 students respectively were lucky enough to participate in the Courage to Care Program.

On Wednesday, the 9th of August, the year 11 and 12 Biology classes went to Melbourne zoo to participate in workshops to support their learning and to collect data and complete observations to refer to in Outcome 2 assessments.
On Monday 14th August, the Year 10 boys participated in a whole day incursion with the Man Cave. The Man Cave work with young men to dispel the negative stigmas around men's mental health issues, offering strategies for young men to cope with and support one another through mental health concerns.
There were so many laughs on offer, you could hear the giggles from outside the auditorium!! Our Comedy for a Cause was one of the funniest and highly entertaining nights we have hosted here at the College. A huge thank you to all those that attended!
We held our Term 3, full school assembly last week. It was an opportunity to welcome Ms Loterzo and Mr McDonald to their new roles as Acting Junior School Assistant Principal and Ms Gorham and Mr Prowd to the Acting Junior School Engagement and Wellbeing position.
Box Hill Institute is hosting a free immersive on campus “Nursing Boot Camp”, where students will experience what it is like in the day of the life of an Enrolled Nurse. This will be a great opportunity for students to have some hands on learning and give them more insight into a career in nursing.
Year 11s visited Melbourne Zoo yesterday as part of their Unit 2 Geography studies to investigate the impact that the zoo has on tourism. Students spent the day collecting fieldwork data and enjoying the many animal attractions on offer.
