End of Term 3

A reminder that Friday 15/09/23 is the last day of Term 3, with the earlier finish time of 2:30pm. For those students that catch a bus to and/or from school, the bus timetable remains the same.

Operation Disrupt 16/09 – 01/10/23

Victorian Police will be out in force engaging the public and providing a form of public order. The Operation provides public reassurance and will be actively engaging youth to deter poor behaviour all whilst providing advice, guidance and support.

Parent/Teacher Interviews Term 4

Bookings are now open for our Parent/Teacher Interviews being held Thursday 05/10/23. Please log into COMPASS to book your appointment.There are no scheduled classes on this day and students should attend their appointment with their parent/carer.

Year 8 Sheet Metal Fabrication

Yr 8 Sheet metal fabrication. Students design and make a tin man using the design cycle and safe working practices. 

Art Staff Wellbeing

Yesterday our Teaching Staff participated in an art class as part of our staff wellbeing program. It seems we have quite a few very talented artists in our midst.

A Visit to the Supreme and County Courts

The Year 10 Legal Studies class, explored both the Supreme and County Courts on Friday. Students were able to watch an appeal to the Supreme Court and were lucky enough to speak with Justice John Champion and his associates,

Yr 11 and 12 Biology Visit the Zoo

On Wednesday, the 9th of August, the year 11 and 12 Biology classes went to Melbourne zoo to participate in workshops to support their learning and to collect data and complete observations to refer to in Outcome 2 assessments.

Man Cave

On Monday 14th August, the Year 10 boys participated in a whole day incursion with the Man Cave. The Man Cave work with young men to dispel the negative stigmas around men's mental health issues, offering strategies for young men to cope with and support one another through mental health concerns.

Comedy for a Cause - What a Night!

There were so many laughs on offer, you could hear the giggles from outside the auditorium!! Our Comedy for a Cause was one of the funniest and highly entertaining nights we have hosted here at the College. A huge thank you to all those that attended!

Box Hill Institute is hosting a free immersive on campus “Nursing Boot Camp”, where students will experience what it is like in the day of the life of an Enrolled Nurse. This will be a great opportunity for students to have some hands on learning and give them more insight into a career in nursing.

Share the Dignity 2023

Year 11 Visit the Zoo

Year 11s visited Melbourne Zoo yesterday as part of their Unit 2 Geography studies to investigate the impact that the zoo has on tourism. Students spent the day collecting fieldwork data and enjoying the many animal attractions on offer.

On the foggy Tuesday morning, the Senior School Team catered hot chocolate and marshmallows to the hardworking VCE students to warm their stomachs and renew their energy.
