This November, WSC Student, James Mileski in Year 11, is participating in Movember, which is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men’s suicide.
Please be advised that students will receive their booklists on Monday 16th Nov, 2020. You will note that some year levels show a Oxford VICPACK (print & Digital), which is a combined bundle of English, Humanities, Maths and Science and includes a hard copy textbook and access to a digital copy.
Our VET Music students got in some last minute practice before heading off to Aitken College to sit their final VCE performance exam. The boys,no doubt, rocked the house!
Tuesday saw our Year 12’s arrive for their VCE English exam at the local scout hall. For most it was their first VCE exam. The College made sure they started their day on the right foot with a breakfast of egg and cheese muffins, muesli bars, yoghurt and muesli cups and fresh fruit on offer.
Our 2021 College Captain Candidates held a Remembrance Day Service for the Students and Staff of WSC. Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions, we were unable to have all our students stand as one, at our flagpole as in previous years.
Today our staff are wearing bandannas as part of Canteen National Bandanna Day. Funds raised will help young people impacted by cancer get access to programs, counselling and peer support. Thank you to all WSC Staff who showed their support by proudly wearing bandannas.WE'RE STANDING UP TO CANCER!
On Wednesday, our Year 12's enjoyed their Celebration Day with fancy dress and all the usual shenanigans that come with your final days at school.
Yesterday the Year 12's spent their final morning at WSC sharing in a picnic breakfast on the lawn. Our special thanks to the Year 10 Hospitality class, Ms Courtney Gorham and Ms Clare Hegarty for coming in so early to prepare and cook all the delicious items on offer.
Last Thursday, students from Year 11 VCAL; Matthew Wood, Austin Tennant, Nathan Carrington, Hayden Maloney, Cooper Griffiths and Seth Patford held a Sports Colours Day, to raise money for The Black Dog Institute. They did an amazing job and raised $385 for a great cause. Well done boys!!

This week, our staff have been meeting our returning students each morning at the school gates and presenting each one with a ‘Welcome Back’ cookie. We have missed seeing their smiling faces and hopefully they’ve missed us a little too 😊

Dear Parents/Carers, I am writing about the situation in Kilmore after customers and staff at the Oddfellows Café in Kilmore tested positive to coronavirus (COVID-19).
Term 4 has commenced and ALL students will be remote learning for Week One.There will no students on-site except for Wednesday 07/10/20 when our Year 12 VCE students and those students in other year levels completing a 3/4 subject will sit their GAT test at the College.
With our students returning next week, a reminder that as per Government guidelines all students over the age of 12 must wear a face covering unless they have a lawful reason not to such as a medical condition.
