This week, our staff have been meeting our returning students each morning at the school gates and presenting each one with a ‘Welcome Back’ cookie. We have missed seeing their smiling faces and hopefully they’ve missed us a little too 😊

Dear Parents/Carers, I am writing about the situation in Kilmore after customers and staff at the Oddfellows Café in Kilmore tested positive to coronavirus (COVID-19).
Term 4 has commenced and ALL students will be remote learning for Week One.There will no students on-site except for Wednesday 07/10/20 when our Year 12 VCE students and those students in other year levels completing a 3/4 subject will sit their GAT test at the College.
With our students returning next week, a reminder that as per Government guidelines all students over the age of 12 must wear a face covering unless they have a lawful reason not to such as a medical condition.
All students enrolled in one or more VCE or scored VCE VET Unit 3 and 4 sequence are expected to sit the GAT. The GAT will be conducted on Wednesday, 7 October 2020 from 10.00am to 1.15pm.

Our Parent/Teacher Interviews will be held via online on Tuesday 15/09/20. Bookings are via COMPASS and interviews will be held between 11:30am - 6:30pm.Please ensure you book early to avoid disappointment.
Please be advised that on Thursday 10.09.20 Wallan Secondary College will be having an Independent Learning Day. Class work will be provided on Compass for all Students however, Teachers will be unavailable.On-site supervision for those students registered will still be available on the day.

Lockdown is hard. It hurts our kids and it’s a drain on parents. The first time was tricky. There were challenges. For some, it was horrible. But most of us managed ok and got through it. This time it’s different.

This week the focus for our Year 7 - 11 Food Tech classes was 'Food Presentation'. The students did an amazing job, creating different ideas to showcase the results of their cooking skills.
The Year 8 Textiles class have been very busy during remote learning, completing some interesting class exercises using their laundry!
Our Year 12's were very adventurous whilst researching different protein options, they tried crickets!There is nothing like a cricket milkshake to boost the energy levels. It was really good though!
