Dear Parents/Students I am writing to let you know that, further to the communication yesterday regarding a positive case at our school, required contact notification is complete and we have contacted all potential primary close contacts who have been asked to stay at home until further notice.
Our school has been advised a confirmed COVID-19 case attended our school on Friday, 22 October, 2021.Our school will be closed on Tuesday, 26 October as a precaution to identify students or staff who were on site on Friday, 22 October and may have had close contact with the case.
Our students really are exceptional! Year 7 student, Brianna Almond set out on a mission to ensure that the oldest and wisest members of our community know that they are valued.
We are very excited to share that the timeline for the staged return to onsite learning is being brought forward and all students will now be back in the classroom full time from and including Friday 22 October.

The Parents and Guardians of Year 7, 2022 students will be notified today (Monday 18th October) via email of a change to the proposed format of the Parent Information evening which is due to be held (tomorrow) on Tuesday 19th October. Please check your emails for the details.

Mitchell Youth Service has partnered with Prace/Reconnect to run a 1:1 resume writing service for young people 15-24. Every Thursday in November 3.30-5.30pm at Wallan Youth Room’s or online- limited spots, bookings essential. Every young person who attends will walk away with a complete resume.
You will be invited to a workshop hosted by TGD Clothing Swap, The Story Costumer, WayOut and CLIP. You can build your outfit, ensemble, costume or entire catwalk collection, be coached to find your catwalk groove, and steel your confidence to walk the runway in front of your special guests.

The VCAA recognises that some students enrolled in VCE or scored VCE VET Unit 3–4 studies have experienced particularly difficult circumstances this year as a result of COVID-19. This includes health and wellbeing challenges, financial stress, extra home responsibilities and family stresses.
The Australian Government has announced that all people in Australia aged 12 and over are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine, with bookings for children aged 12 to 15 open from 13 September 2021.

Today with the assistance of Nexus Primary Health Wallan, our Year 12's and 11's received their first Pfizer vaccination. It was wonderful to be able check in with our Seniors, face to face. We have missed having them on site.
