On Wednesday, the 9th of August, the year 11 and 12 Biology classes went to Melbourne zoo to participate in workshops to support their learning and to collect data and complete observations to refer to in Outcome 2 assessments.
The year 11 class looked at adaptations of the Corrobboree Frog and Butterflies and used the scientific method to collect data surrounding what colour feeder the butterflies preferred based on species.
The year 12 class focused on Primate evolution and determined, based on morphological observations and DNA analysis tasks, the order of evolution of Primates to Homo sapiens (humans).
