Our students have had a great week with heaps of activities to get involved in.
Monday was National Lamington Day and we celebrated with a scavenger hunt for tokens which students exchanged for lamingtons.
Our Languages Department has run some fantastic events all week from a Trivia Competition, World Games, Black Out Poetry and Wiki Wars.
On Wednesday, Pak Allen and Pak Paulo cooked delicious Indonesian Cuisine for students to sample accompanied by the beautiful sounds of the angklung.
Thursday, it was 'Name That Reindeer', with students having to name three (3) of Santa's Reindeers to secure a candy cane from our Student Leaders. There was a lot of laughing and head scratching as students struggled to remember their childhood Christmas stories. This game did prove very popular, with nearly 400 canes handed out, as we celebrated Christmas in July.
For those of us also now attempting and struggling to name them, here is a little reminder from Santa himself
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;
"Now, Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! on, Cupid! on, Donder and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!"
