Students are encouraged to wear blue and make a gold coin donation to Dolly's Dream. It is not compulsory for Students to participate and those who choose not to, should come to school dressed in their full College uniform.Dolly's Dream was set up in memory of Amy 'Dolly' Everett, aged 14, who took her own life after an extended period of bullying and cyberbullying. Dolly left behind her parents Tick and Kate and her sister Meg, who are now focused on raising awareness about the seriousness of bullying to help prevent other families from going through the same devastating experience.
Dressing in blue to express their 'true blue' spirit is only a part of what the Student Leaders are asking our students to do.
They want them to:
* invite someone to join them at lunchtime
* ask an adult how their day has been
* make a new friend
* tell their family how much they mean to them
* clean their room without being asked
There are many ways to be kind to others, you are only limited by your imagination!
