The school encourages students to learn through real life experience and with this in mind the students are currently on a tour to explore the educational, social and cultural aspects of Australia.
The students enjoyed their time at Wallan Secondary College, participating in an English class with Ms Emmily Pratt, Food Tech class with Ms Rachel De Prinse and Ms Courtney Gorham and PE class with Mr Luke Ellis.
Having never experienced playing AFL or a cooking class the students were very keen. The students made ANZAC biscuits and considering they've never made biscuits before let alone seen an ANZAC biscuit, they turned out to be quite tasty. The students from CPS, asked if they could share their cooked goodies with our WSC students, so we invited them to join them on the Green to listen to the visiting Rap artist and talk with our students. The ANZAC biscuits were a big hit!
Their accompanying Teacher was very impressed with the professionalism of our staff, our amenities and the attention given to our own students.
The students were joined by Leadership Students; Edward Munro and Will Richardson, who offered them an insight into life at WSC. Our thanks to both of these young leaders who represented our College beautifully. The Hong Kong students were quite taken with the boys, requesting to take many photos at the conclusion of their visit and wanting to swap we chat addresses.
We look forward to building on our new relationship with San Wui Commercial Society Chan Pak Sha School and hope the future will bring a reciprocal visit to Hong Kong with greater cultural exchange that will surely benefit our students and broaden their horizons.
