All students enrolled in one or more VCE or scored VCE VET Unit 3 and 4 sequence are expected to sit the GAT.
The GAT will be conducted on Wednesday, 7 October 2020 from 10.00am to 1.15pm.
What time do you need to arrive?
Students need to arrive at 9.15 so that they have time to place their personal belongings (including phones) in lockers, have dictionaries checked and make sure of their seating arrangements.
What do you need to wear?
Students need to be in full school uniform for the GAT.
As we have external supervisors for the exam we need to identify you as a current student.
What to bring to exams?
Student ID card – this will be displayed on the student’s desk during exams
Pencil cases are not permitted in the exam venue. Students need to keep stationery in clear ziplock bags.
Students must use either a blue or black pen to complete the two writing tasks and a pencil for the multiple-choice answer page.
An English and/or bilingual printed dictionary can be taken into the GAT, but not a thesaurus or a combined thesaurus–dictionary.
Water bottle – this needs to be a CLEAR bottle with all labels removed
What isn’t permitted in the exam venue?
Food or drinks other than water
Mobile phones and electronic devices that are capable of storing, receiving or transmitting information or electronic signals, such as recorded music and video players, organisers, electronic dictionaries and calculators or computerised watches.
These items need to be left in lockers.
A reminder that the College is providing breakfast for students between 9:00 - 9:15am.
