As part of the unit ‘Be an effective volunteer’, Wallan Secondary and Seymour College students learned about Design Thinking Theory for the purpose of developing a community project.
One of the five stages of Design Thinking Theory is ideation, where students let their creativity flow to come up with ideas that might solve a problem. The last stage of Design Thinking Theory is prototyping; where students test their ideas. To practice these two steps, students had the task of inventing a sport. With just butcher's paper, duct tape, wiffle balls, rackets, plastic cups, and balloons, students created some wild and whacky new sports. Well done crew!
