Congratulations to Tyler Miller and Wil Rice who received 2019 Year 7 Scholarships. The boys received their awards from Ms Veljanovski at their school assembly but were congratulated by Mr Ritchie today during their Orientation Day at the College.
It is with great pleasure that we announce that Sophie Babycz was presented as The 2018 WSC Valedictorian at the Year 12 Valedictory Dinner. Earlier this year, Sophie was named the Victorian School-based Apprentice or Trainee of the Year for 2018.
On the 30th November, we celebrated the graduation of our Valedictorians with a dinner held in The Celebrity Room at Moonee Valley. The night was a tremendous success, with Students, Parents, Caregivers, Family Members, College Staff and Community Members coming together to enjoy the festivities.
Yesterday, WSC hosted 140 students who will be starting year 7 in 2019 with us. The students spent the day familiarizing themselves with the College, meeting the staff and undertaking some of the subjects they will have next year.
Tuesday night WSC, held our annual Presentation Night in our Auditorium. The evening was well attended by families and the community.

The Secondary School Vaccine Program offers free vaccines to Year 7 and 10 students. These vaccines provide protection against: Diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis (whooping cough) – one dose for year 7 students, Human Papillomavirus (HPV) – two doses for year 7 students, Meningococcal A,C,W,Y – one dose for year 10 students.
Our College Photos will be taken on Wednesday 13th February 2019.
Full College Uniform is to be worn by all students. Any student who is NOT in their full College Uniform will NOT be included in the class photos. These students will however still have their photo taken for their Identification Card.
We are very excited to announce that our College Captains; Lachie, Ruby, Riley and Coen have been invited to attend the 2019 Global Young Leaders Conference to be held in Washington DC and New York in July.
How fantastic do our Year 12 jackets look? Our Seniors, designed them themselves and even with the warm weather today, were eager to show them off.
As per the Victorian Premier's announcement this week, the Mitchell Shire, which Wallan Secondary College is under, has been placed into Stage Three Restrictions for the following 6 weeks.
On-site learning and teaching programs for vulnerable students or students of essential employees at primary, secondary and specialist government schools, will be offered based on the school's assessment and understanding of the safety risks faced by students and families.
