A Day to Remember at Five Vineyard

Today, our 2nd Year VET students had the incredible opportunity to experience one of the most enriching excursions yet – a visit to the stunning Five Vineyard estate.

From the moment we arrived, our students were welcomed with warmth and generosity. They toured the beautiful grounds, explored the vineyard lined with thousands of vines including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Shiraz, and gained insight into the fascinating process of grape growing and winemaking.
A highlight of the day was the behind-the-scenes experience in a fully operational commercial kitchen. Students spent time with the estate’s Head Chef, learning about professional food preparation, kitchen operations, and the passion behind crafting exquisite dishes. The front-of-house team also shared their expertise, offering students a glimpse into the workings of high-end hospitality.
To top it all off, our students were treated to a shared feast that many described as unforgettable. For some, it was a chance to try new foods for the very first time – from delicate heirloom beetroot salad to charcuterie boards, artisan pizzas (topped with salami, spicy nduja, pickled chilli, honey, mushroom, pancetta, truffle oil, and rocket), potato cakes adorned with caviar, and cannoli filled with orange and pistachio ricotta. Every dish was a delight, beautifully presented and full of flavour.
The attention to detail, exceptional service, and passion shared by the entire Five Vineyard team left a lasting impression on all of us. We could not have asked for a more inspiring, educational, and delicious day.
On behalf of the 2nd Year VET students and our staff, we extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone at Five Vineyard for your time, knowledge, and outstanding hospitality.
