Happy Diwali!

Monday marked the first day of Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights – a significant celebration in Hindu, Sikh, Jain, and some Buddhist communities.

Diwali symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil, and is celebrated with lights, sweets, prayers, and gatherings with family and friends.
Our students embraced the spirit of Diwali by sharing their culture with their peers through a range of vibrant activities. There was dancing, food tasting, mehndi (henna art), and decorating pots for candles (diyas) – all of which brought joy and colour to the day.
It was a wonderful celebration of culture, community, and connection.
