Year 10 student Danella Butrus, who was recently selected for the Football Victoria Emerging Matildas, has just competed in the National Youth Soccer Championships as a member of the Victorian Under 16 Girls Team.
Twenty-two teams from across Australia competed in Wollongong in the Under 14 and Under 16 divisions.
In Pool A, on day one (1), Danella scored in the game against Queensland Silver and again on day two (2), found the back of the net against Capital Football.
Day three (3), saw Danella boot a amazing five (5) goals, against Western Australia. What an outstanding accomplishment!!
Victoria progressed to the U16 Grand Final after beating South Australia with Danella adding to their winning score with another goal.
The U16 Grand Final, was played at WIN Stadium on Friday 13/10/23 and sadly Victoria was unable to come away with the win, going down to NSW Metro.
The College is very proud of Danella and her acheivementt and look forward to seeing her one day perhaps playing in the green and gold as a Matilda.
