Anzac Service Wallan Primary School

Today, our College Captains (Cooper, Chelsea) and Prefects (Jared, Naomi, Isabella) had the honour of attending the Wallan Primary School ANZAC Service. It was a beautiful and respectful service, thoughtfully hosted by the WPS Captains, who did an outstanding job.

We sincerely thank Wallan Primary School Principal; Ms Tanya Kirkwright and WPS student leaders for their invitation and for including our students in such a meaningful community event.
A highlight of the morning was the Welcome to Country performed by students from the local kindergarten. Their contribution was both meaningful and heartfelt, reminding us of the importance of acknowledging and respecting the rich cultural heritage of this land.
We are incredibly proud of our WSC Prefects and Captains for the respectful, thoughtful way they represented our college.
College Prefect; Jared Petricola, delivered a moving recitation of ANZAC Day by D. Hunter (a veteran of Shaggy Ridge with the 2/12 Battalion in WWII), and Sofia Finau (Year 12), sang both the New Zealand and Australian national anthems with great poise and respect.
Our Captains and Prefects also laid a wreath on behalf of the students and staff of Wallan Secondary College.
