I Belong in Crime and Justice

Our Year 9 students kicked off the first Friday of term with an exciting and thought-provoking visit to RMIT for the "I Belong in Crime and Justice" excursion.

As part of their Humanities Legal Studies unit, students prepared for and participated in a mock trial in a historic courtroom, gaining first-hand insight into the legal process and the roles within the justice system.
The day also included a powerful opportunity to interview two people with lived experience of incarceration, encouraging students to reflect on the complexities of the justice system, rehabilitation and the impact of personal choices.
It was a valuable learning experience that brought classroom concepts to life and gave students a deeper understanding of crime, justice and the legal system.
