Our Year 12 Biology students recently headed to the zoo for an engaging workshop designed to extend and consolidate their knowledge of primate and human evolution.
Students analysed the skulls of different primate species, looking for signs of relatedness, and compared the skeletal structures of a gorilla and a human.
They then explored the zoo, observing a range of primates and identifying their physical and behavioural traits firsthand.
A fantastic opportunity for our students to connect their classroom learning with real-world observations and deepen their understanding of evolution!
