The day kicked off with the usual harmless Year 12 antics, with staff arriving at the car park only to discover that entry was no longer free! A group of entrepreneurial students had established their own little business, complete with a surcharge for staff wanting to enter the college. We admire the initiative, if not the business model!

Dressed to impress in an incredible array of creative costumes, our Year 12 students and staff certainly understood the assignment! The morning began with a breakfast lovingly provided by our college staff, followed by a whole-college assembly filled with laughter, a few surprises and the much-anticipated Staff Most Likely To… Awards. Our Year 12s had their moment to shine as their peers cheered them on and shared their congratulations and best wishes.
There was plenty of noise, excitement and emotion as our students made their final entrance into the gym as WSC Year 12s. A moment filled with pride, memories and the realisation that one very important chapter is coming to an end.

Then it was off to the city for a day packed with adventure!

From ice skating (and hopefully staying upright!) at O'Brien Icehouse, to lunch at Docklands, capturing some very creative memories at the ArtVo immersive gallery, and finishing with games, dodgem cars and plenty of friendly competition at Archie Brothers Arcades, our students certainly made the most of their special day!
To our incredible Class of 2026, congratulations!

You have grown, learned, challenged yourselves, made memories and become part of the WSC story. As you prepare to take your next steps beyond our college gates, remember that success comes in many forms, that it is okay to take the scenic route, and that the people who have cheered you on along the way will always be proud of what you achieve.
Thank you for the laughter, the chaos, the creativity and the memories. You may be finishing Year 12, but you will always be part of the Wallan Secondary College family. We hope you carry the friendships, lessons and experiences you have gained here with you wherever life takes you next.
Go out there, chase your dreams, back yourselves, be kind, and make your mark on the world. We cannot wait to see what you do next!
And remember, Class of 2026, if your future business ventures are anything like today's car park toll operation, please make sure you declare your earnings!
With love, pride and our very best wishes for the future,
